Northern Yorke Peninsula is essentially the rural area consisting of the three main towns of Kadina, Wallaroo and Moonta and surrounding rural areas being an area of approximately 800 square kilometres.

We are located approximately 150 kilometres north of Adelaide.

The population of our catchment area reached approximately 14,000 people in 2014.

Over 100,000 people visit the area annually.

Population trends indicates growth of approximately 2.5% per annum.

Known in our community as “Wallaroo Hospital”, Wallaroo Hospital and Health Services is a vital health centre for the Northern Yorke Peninsula area.

Wallaroo Hospital is a 21 bed complex co-located with a 7 bed private hospital complex.

A 24 hour Accident and Emergency Service is an important and essential community facility.

Attached to and complimentary to the acute Hospital centre are extensive Community Health, Outreach and Dental services.

An extensive summary of the services provided is detailed in the Wallaroo Hospital website.
